Alpina Ski Helmets - Scara

The Scara is an extra-light-weight helmet, weighing only 450 grammes it features IN-MOLD technology with superior ventilation. Despite the very light weight, this gives the Scara a much sturdier structure than conventional helmets. A venting system between the inner and outer shells is built into the Scara. Heat is quickly conducted away providing perfect airflow control ideally suited to springtime skiing.

It also benefits from removable earpads and a changeable interior which can be removed from the helmet easily and quickly, simply wash the lining in warm soapy water, let it dry and insert it again into the helmet.

The new helmet adapting system by ALPINA

A convenient rotary knob allows quick and optimum helmet adjustment for all head sizes. The RUNSYSTEM surrounds the back of the head in a particulary comfortable way and guarantees an absolutely perfect fit.

The complete bonding system by ALPINA

Inmolding technology enables complete bonding of the shell and rigid foam by means of a compression-molding process. This results in an extremely stable, yet light-weight helmet offering significantly higher protection against mechanical impact (e.g. crashes involving sharp or pointed objects) compared to adhesion-bonded helmets (which are usually spot-bonded only).

The ear pads of the Scara can be removed. This is great for spring or late season skiing when you want to be a little cooler. Head protection is still guaranteed. They are easy to detach and reattach securely.

The toughest testing requirements for ski helmets are currently imposed by European CE-tests, including impact damping capabilities, effectiveness of the strap system as well as range of vision.

All ALPINA helmets comply with the latest European CE EN 1077 standard.
